A gunshot wound was sustained by a man following a shooting at Villajoyosa

One man was shot and transferred to Marina Baixa Hospital in Villajoyosa yesterday, Wednesday 12th March, however, his life is not in danger. The Civil Guard is looking into the incident.

According to municipal sources, the event happened close to Torres Beach, in the Terramar residential area, south of Benidorm. Sources say that the alleged offender is reportedly a La Vila Joiosa resident who owed money to the Elche car dealership owner, whom he allegedly shot after arriving to pick up the money.

Authorities are still looking for the individual who allegedly ran away after firing the bullets.
