Man arrested for knife attack in Elche

A 38-year-old man was taken into custody by the Elche Local Police for using a knife to attack another man. Around ten o’clock last night, a witness called to report a brawl that had broken out in a bar on Avenida de la Libertad.

As soon as many patrols reached the location, they discovered the 26-year-old victim and multiple witnesses who said the attacker had repeatedly threatened him with a huge knife before fleeing.

The officers organised a search after receiving information from the victim and witnesses. They described the suspect until they found him close by, at which time they saw him fling a knife into a container.

The fight began when the suspect made advances towards a woman, got into a confrontation with her family, and eventually left the institution to return with the knife he had used to attack the victim. It appears that the two men had not interacted until that day.

The individual was brought to police stations for additional investigation after being apprehended in connection with the incident.
