On Saturday, April 19th, Dénia Local Police officers and several local residents saved the life of a motorhome driver who suffered a heart attack while travelling along a busy street, Calle Abu Zeyán.
The man lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with another vehicle in traffic, as well as several parked automobiles on the street, because of the cardiac arrest.

When a local police patrol arrived, several neighbours were already performing cardiac massages. The AED resuscitated the victim after two shocks. Subsequently, he was conveyed by two Lifesaving Aids (BLAs) and an Emergency Medical Service (SAMU), who also rendered assistance to his wife, youngest daughter, and another injured individual.
In addition to other law enforcement agencies who secured the vicinity and redirected traffic, firefighters also participated in the operation to prevent a fire caused by the motorhome’s condition. On Sunday, the next day, the hospital released the motorist.
